Join us for an on-site Certificate & Diploma Jacobean Taster Day at Hampton Court Palace. During this class you will be taught some introductory Crewelwork stitches such as Seeding, Stem, Woven and Whipped Wheels, Burden, Raised Stem Band and Pistols.
This class is designed to give students a taster into the C&D programme before fully committing to it. The class will be taught by one of our regular C&D Tutors who you will be able to ask questions to about the course.
The Certificate and Diploma (C&D) in Technical Hand Embroidery course is taught by the Royal School of Needlework at Hampton Court and at our other venues across the UK & Internationally including Bristol, Rugby, Durham, Glasgow, Japan, US, Australia and Online.
This is a flexible high-quality leisure course which teaches students to embroider to the best of their abilities and allows students to build their skills incrementally. The Certificate course concentrates on the core skills of hand embroidery. These include accuracy, stitch selection, colour choices and thread decisions. Students also learn about scale, colour, light and shade, texture and much more.
On successful completion of the Certificate, students may progress to the Diploma, which continues to build on and expand their skills.
