This class acts as an introduction to embroidery. A Pastel Flower is stitched with stranded cotton threads on a cotton fabric.
Students will learn a variety of surface stitches including Chain stitch, Stem stitch, Satin stitch, Fly stitch, French Knots and Woven Wheels as well as variations on some of these stitches.
During the class you will learn some tips such as how to separate and recombine the stranded cotton prior to stitching and how to get smooth edges to stitched areas. No previous experience of embroidery is necessary for this class.
