In this one day class we will sample a range of traditional needlelace patterns such as Brussels, Trellis, Hollie Point and Up and Down stitches, as well as techniques such as Couronnes and Picots.

We will also sample creating needlelace shapes with hard edges (wired) and soft edges which are used as slips (cordonnet). There is no set design. At the end of the class participants will have a series of samples for future reference.

All materials will be provided. The class is suitable for a mix of abilities, both beginners and those with some previous embroidery experience. Participants will need to enjoy sampling. All materials will be provided.

You can explore many more stitches in the RSN Stitch Bank.

Please note this is an onsite class at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey KT8 9AU.
