ONL25314: Birch Tree in Sunlight NEW
£170.00
The Tutor was inspired by observing how sunlight catches Birch Tree leaves, especially in Autumn when their golden leaves sparkle against the backdrop of a bright blue sky.
This ‘mindfulness’ project is worked on a bright blue fabric using a range of silvery-grey stranded cottons for the tree trunk and branches, and a blend of yellowy-gold, burnt sienna and leaf green for the leaves, complimented with a scattering of Gilt spangles to catch the light.
The fabric is printed with minimal design lines for the trunk and branches. Stem Stitch, Fly Stitch, Coral Stitch, Detached Chain, French Knots and Spangles are worked to complete the design. The leaves are worked along the branches using a blend of thread colours selected by the embroiderer, making each completed design truly unique.
The kit includes base fabric with printed design lines, calico backing fabric, threads, needles, Gilt spangles and instruction booklet
You can explore many more stitches on the RSN Stitch Bank.
