The Japanese Cherry Blossom season begins in the middle of March and lasts through to May creating a pandemonium of pink petals all over the country. Dedicated followers can track the progress via the 2025 blossom forecast and early indications are that the cherry blossoms will  open 5 to 10 days earlier than normal..

Join Auburn to create your own beautiful version of the iconic Japanese Cherry Blossom whilst getting to grips with French Knots, Japanese Knots along with creative Goldwork couching.

Worked on blue cotton, this is a simple but stunning embroidery kit that covers 3 techniques. The aim is to repeat the three stitches teaching you to be accurate and consistent when stitching, whilst being creative at the same time!

Though they look similar the Japanese and French Knots are worked very differently! Which will you prefer?

When finished, a 5" hoop is included in your kit so you can mount your beautiful embroidery.

There will be plenty of opportunity during the class to ask the Tutor questions and in advance of the class all preparation information will be emailed to you along with an invitation to join the class on the day.

The class kit will be posted out to you. Your kit includes everything you need including a wooden hoop. The only things you’ll need are a pair embroidery scissors and it would be useful to have a pencil and paper in case you wish to take extra notes.

The kit is manufactured by the Royal School of Needlework and includes material, embroidery  needles, thread and and instructions with diagrams.

Warning: Not suitable for small children, kit contains sharp objects.

You can explore many more stitches on the RSN Stitch Bank.
