RSN A Year in Flowers: March – Daffodil Embroidery Kit by Natalie Rowe

£38.50

Pre Order Due in 15th April 2025

This series of embroidery kits for all levels, charts a year in flowers. Although each kit depicts a flower that is associated with a particular month, the numerous symbolic meanings extend far beyond the month with which it is connected.

Within numerous cultures, flowers hold symbolic meanings, featuring in folk tales and as decorations for celebrations and festivities. In addition, certain flowers often hold personal significance, capturing a memory of a person or a place.

The daffodil is the flower of March. The golden yellow and orange flowers mark the beginning of spring, their joyful colours reflecting the return of the Sun and its warmth. As a result, the daffodil is a symbol of renewal and hope.

This embroidery kit provides an introduction to a variety of surface stitches. You will learn split stitch, stem stitch, laid work and buttonhole stitch. The design is worked using a selection of vibrant stranded cottons on a natural-coloured linen.
