Description
Jacobean Crewelwork Kit
Created by the RSN Studio, this kit is inspired by a curtain or screen design that was originally produced by the Royal School of Needlework Design Room.
During the 1930s there was a huge resurgence of interest in Jacobean Crewelwork and there were many magazine and transfers produced for the public to purchase and work. The design elements have been rearranged to fill a generous space which could be made into a cushion as shown in the images or mounted and framed as a picture.
The colours are carefully considered to give the design a classic yet contemporary feel that will compliment most colour schemes within a room.
The kit is for those who have some embroidery experience and contains a large selection of surface embroidery stitches. Instructions and diagrams for each stitch are included in the booklet and you can use the QR Codes to access further information about each stitch on the RSN Stitchbank website.
