This advanced goldwork class is taught over three days and is designed for students with some experience who wish to take their skills to the next level.
Techniques covered include felt and string padding, applying kid leather, plate work, couching, ‘s’ ing, basket weave, and cutwork. Students will work with a variety of copper and gilt metal threads, including plate, pearl purl, twist, passing, smooth, bright check, and rough purl.
The class kit contains full instructions and all materials needed to complete the design.
The finished design measures approximately 13 cm × 7 cm (5" × 3"). This course is ideal for those seeking to refine advanced goldwork techniques and create a high-quality, richly textured embroidery piece.
