Inspired by the beautifully decorated Christmas Tree that is on display at Hampton Court Palace each winter this design allows you to decorate your own tree with some fun embellishments. The class is suitable for beginners, however embroiderers of all levels are welcome.
This fun project uses wool, cotton, satin and metallic threads along with bead embellishments. The design uses a variety of surface stitches including Chain Stitch, Stem Stitch, Back Stitch, Eyelet and Fishbone Stitch. It is worked on a sparkly gold Linen fabric that adds even more ‘bling’ to the completed embroidery.
The finished embroidery could be hung in a decorative hoop or made up into a tree decoration.
No experience is necessary for this class and there will be plenty of opportunity during the class to ask the Tutor questions.
The class kit will include everything you require to complete the project. You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames, magnifiers and lights (if needed) on the day.
