Learn the basics of canvas shading with this charming design featuring a gerbera flower. Tent stitch, worked on 18 TPI canvas, is used to create subtle shading while learning how to blend shades of Appleton crewel wool.
The reverse side explores a variety of decorative canvas stitches, including rice stitch and cashmere stitch, adding texture and interest. The class also includes guidance on making a twisted cord to attach your scissors.
The kit includes canvas, crewel wool, perlé thread, needles, and padding to complete the project; however, scissors are not included.
The finished scissor keeper measures 3.5 cm × 3.5 cm.
