Explore the creative possibilities of canvaswork embroidery with our Abstract Wild Rose design. Suitable for beginners, this class provides an introduction to a range of canvaswork techniques while creating a contemporary floral piece inspired by the colours and forms of the wild rose.
Throughout the class, you will learn techniques including French knots, basketweave tent stitch and condensed mosaic stitch. You will also be introduced to the fundamentals of thread blending, exploring how colour can be combined to create depth, texture and interest within your embroidery.
All materials required to complete the design will be provided. Please bring a notebook and pen if you would like to make notes throughout the class. You are also welcome to film demonstrations for your own personal reference and practice after the workshop.
