Mounting your finished embroidery
Many students ask how to finish their embroidery so it looks its very best. A beautifully mounted piece ensures the embroidery appears smooth and flat, showcasing all the hard work that has gone into creating it. This method also helps preserve your embroidery for many years to come.
You will be guided step by step through the process of neatly mounting a finished piece of embroidery onto board using traditional conservation techniques.
To allow enough time to complete each stage of the mounting process, it is recommended that the piece to be mounted does not exceed A4 size (30 cm × 21 cm).
The class kit includes mountboard, cotton backing fabrics, strong thread, and a curved needle.
