ONL24200: Whitework Roundel
£1,105.00
This course is a long exploration of Fine Whitework embroidery. There are many techniques to explore from surface stitches, manipulating the base fabric with pulled work and eyelets, net embroidery, drawn thread and cutting away fabric to expose net.
White on white embroidery can be tricky so the kit contains not only a full white on white kit but also a sample kit allowing all of the stitches and techniques to be explored in blue thread on white fabric before moving onto the main embroidered piece.
Month by month this large complex design is broken down into bitesize chunks to allow plenty of time between classes for homework allowing the design to grow at a careful pace.
The class kit will be posted out to you. Your kit includes everything you need. The only things you’ll need are a pair of embroidery scissors and it would be useful to have a pencil and paper in case you wish to take extra notes.
You can explore many more stitches on the RSN Stitch Bank.
