Printed tea towel inspired by embroidery found on a tea cosy from the Royal School of Needlework collection. The original design features flowing, naturalistic forms in silk, including sweeping birds and berries, in the Arts and Crafts style of the 1900s. This style emerged as a reaction to industrialisation and a renewed appreciation for the decorative arts throughout Europe. Donated to the Royal School of Needlework Collection, it's now used for studying design and stitching techniques.
