Try this introduction class with a classic William Morris inspired design, taken from a stained glass panel on display at the William Morris Gallery. You will learn Couching and Cutwork techniques as well as applying Pearl Purl, Twist and Spangles.
The kit will include needles, fabric, polyester threads, gold threads, spangles and beeswax plus full instructions for you to complete the embroidery at home
Suitable for complete beginners to embroidery or beginners to the technique as the tuition will take you through each step clearly. There will be plenty of opportunity during the class to ask the Tutor questions. You can explore many more stitches on the RSN Stitch Bank.
The class kit will include everything you require to complete the project. You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames, magnifiers and lights (if needed) on the day.
