Inspired by mindful mandalas, this repetitive Blackwork tulip design is a great introduction to embroidery. Suitable for beginners, this design is created using Blackwork Stitches, Gold Pearl Purl and Spangles. Stitched on a neutral linen fabric to be kinder to the eyes.
.
Amanda has a passion for the benefits embroidery can bring to mind, body and soul. Embroidery helps relieve and reduce depression, stress and anxiety. The repetition of the crafts has been shown to release serotonin, a natural anti-depressant, that promotes joy and well-being, while also reducing stress hormones.
No prior experience is necessary for this class and there will be plenty of opportunity during the class to ask the Tutor questions.
You can explore many more stitches on the RSN Stitch Bank.
The class kit will include everything you require to complete the project. You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames, magnifiers and lights (if needed) on the day.
