A stunning Medieval flower design, inspired by a piece in the RSN's unique textile collection. This class combines a variety of crewelwork stitches with richness of Goldwork. The design is worked on traditional linen twill fabric. Some of the stitches you will learn include, long and short, raised stem stitch, satin stitich and heavy chain combined with Goldwork stitches of mixed couching, twist, pearl purl, cut work and chipping. A small amount of padding is also used.
The class kit will include everything you require to complete the project. You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames, magnifiers and lights (if needed) on the day.
