Discover how to create three-dimensional embroidery using raised work techniques in this contemporary goldwork class. Working with shaped fabric elements, you will learn how to construct individual petals and assemble them into a sculptural flower, creating a design that extends beyond the surface of the fabric.

Throughout the class, you will explore a range of contemporary goldwork techniques, including the use of goldwork loops to create texture and dimension, alongside spangles and pearls to add detail and sparkle. You will gain an understanding of how these materials can be combined to create a striking raised embroidery piece.

All materials required to complete the design will be provided. Please bring a notebook and pen if you would like to make notes throughout the class. You are also welcome to film demonstrations for your own personal reference and practice after the workshop.

Please note this is an in-person class at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey KT8 9AU.
