ONL24045 Forget Me Not Postcard: ‘Inspired by WW1 Postcards’
£240.00
Please note that this is an online class. Please click here to view important joining information about online classes.
The class will run from 3pm - 7pm on the following dates:
Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 April 2024
This class is inspired by the beautiful embroidered cards sent by soldiers to
their sweethearts during the first World War. These cards often took the form of an envelope that contained a little message.
Our design will be worked onto silk organza using Satin, Stem and Back stitches in Deveres silk floss threads. Then the embroidery will be carefully cut out and mounted into a bespoke aperture card. A tiny note card is included for you to add your own message.
There will be plenty of opportunity during the class to ask the Tutor questions.
This class is suitable for all levels and your kit will include everything you require to complete the project after the class. The only things you’ll need are an 8” embroidery hoop and a pair of embroidery scissors. It would also be useful to have a pencil and paper in case you wish to take extra notes.
You can explore many more stitches on the RSN Stitch Bank.
