Description
Pre Order Due in 15th April 2025
This series of embroidery kits for all levels, charts a year in flowers. Although each kit depicts a flower that is associated with a particular month, the numerous symbolic meanings extend far beyond the month with which it is connected.
Within numerous cultures, flowers hold symbolic meanings, featuring in folk tales and as decorations for celebrations and festivities. In addition, certain flowers often hold personal significance, capturing a memory of a person or a place.
The violet is the flower of February. A delicate flower with blooms that bow towards the ground, the violet may be characterised as humble and modest. Associated with love, the perfumed flowers are used as love tokens to symbolise faithfulness and loyalty.
This embroidery kit provides an introduction to a variety of surface stitches. You will learn fly stitch, back stitch, stem stitch and chain stitch. The design is worked using a selection of vibrant stranded cottons on a natural-coloured linen.
