Join RSN Tutor, Helen McCook to create this beautiful, vibrant motif inspired by an enamel bowl (c.1915) created by the Ando Company, the main provider of high quality enamels for imperial gifts. The bowl features rabbits which, in Japanese culture, are associated with the moon and are said to produce the elixir of immortality.  The object forms part of the Royal Collection, a unique and valuable record of the personal tastes of kings and queens over the past 500 years.

During the class, Helen will teach you hand embroidery techniques including Silk Shading, Goldwork Couching and Surface Stitches including Laid Work.

There will be plenty of opportunity during the class to ask the Tutor questions.

The class kit will include everything you require to complete the project. You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames, magnifiers and lights (if needed) on the day.

You can explore many more stitches on the RSN Stitch Bank.
