BOOKINGS FOR THIS CLASS HAVE NOW CLOSED

This is an in person  class and takes place at The Sayre School, Lexington, Kentucky, USA  The class runs over five days  from Saturday 13 - Wednesday 17 July 2024: 10am - 4pm (EST).

This kit is based on a design in the Royal School of Needlework’s Collection. The design was created by the RSN to celebrate the Coronation of Her late Majesty, Elizabeth II in 1953.

It features an elegant monogram (choose from the original ER, or CR for King Charles or your own monogram - two letters only) plus date, enclosed by delicately scrolling stems and representation of the four home nations of Great Britain:
Roses for England,
Thistles for Scotland,
Shamrocks for Ireland,
Leeks for Wales.
Plus oak leaves and acorns for strength and stability.

The embroidered panel is a perfect size to make into a cushion front (embroidered area 25 x 36cm approx), framed piece, very large memento box lid and lots of other applications.

It offers multiple stitch opportunities to explore texture technique and incorporates a variety of surface stitched motifs combined with Goldwork so conjure up a suitably luxurious quality to the finished piece.

‘Windsor Celebration’ is a five day class and will enable you to become comfortable with stitches such as French Knots, Trellis, Satin Stitch, Fly Stitch, Chain Stitch, Seeding, Cutwork and Couching to name just a few.

Helen is able to demonstrate right or left handed. You will also get the chance to look at stitch technique during class. All the stitches are taught from beginning to end. This class is suitable for mixed abilities from beginner to advanced.

Kit Inclusions: The kit includes base fabric, embroidery needles, all of the threads needed to complete the kit and an A4 instruction booklet.

Kit Exclusions:You will need to provide your own embroidery hoop or frame, embroidery scissors, larger needles and a needle threader if you want them.

Dimensions: 25 x 36cm embroidery size.

You can explore many more stitches on the RSN Stitch Bank.
